About the temple
 Sthala Sayana perumal temple is among the 108 divya desams of SriVaishnavas and is a part of the tondai naadu divyadesams. The presiding diety here is in sleeping posture like Lord Vishnu’s form in Thirupaarkadal. The utsavar perumal is known as ulaguyya ninraan. Pundarika rishi can be seen sitting at the lord’s feet in the temple. This place is the birth place of Boothathalwar.



How to reach

The temple is about 50 kms from Chennai. Frequent bus service is available from Chennai to Mahabalipuram on the East Coast Road (ECR) as well as Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR). The temple is around 15 kms from Thiruvidanthai temple and so both the temples can be covered at the same time. Also there are some places of sightseeing close to the temple.
